I Can't Express My Feelings.....
Today started out kinda crappy, but ended great.
How great?
Something like this: Winning the Lotto, Having a girlfriend who is a Nymphomaniac and her father owns a Liquor Store. And having a John Holmes sized Priaprism to use on her.
All rolled into one.
Yes. I got to rode my Motorcycle today!
It's gonna be my 4th year of having the BigBluePlasticKawasaki as the primary 2 wheeled conveyance in the garage soon. To say that I've grown accustomed to it would be somewhat of an understatement.
Due to mechanical problems with the bike and the G-d damned, "Global Warming" we've experienced here, I haven't ridden for almost 4 months.
That's just wrong.
It rained - AGAIN - till about 1100 am today. Which kept the fella with the bulldozer and the gravel trucks away again. It fucking SNOWED 2 weeks ago when he was gonna come and redo the driveway of the Command and Control Bunker. You would have to see the condition of this driveway to appreciate how badly I need this job done.
I was bummed this morning, to say the least. It started clearing up and drying out around noon. Hmmm... Maybe it'll get better?
Therapy Boy, the eldest offspring came by to help his Mom with a project around 2pm. OK, this is nice. Always nice to see the boy. And the Sun is shining.
I went out in the back yard and fired off about 200 rounds of .22 caliber love with the Ruger and was dialed in like a bitch. I attribute this to last weeks training session with, Mini-D that I should have told you about already. I'll save that for later, except to say that - He's a good teacher.
4:00 pm and the Sun is still out...... Hell, I walked out and checked the driveway and figured I could make it in and out without any major problems.
What the hell. Go for it.
Geared up and away I went.
I have not gone more than 30 days without riding since I bought that bike. The layoff of 4 months was bad. I really didn't know HOW bad it was till I got out on the road.
My damn face hurts from smiling.
No wonder I've been depressed. All the stupid, bad shit that's been going on over the last couple of months would have been a hell of a lot easier to deal with if I'd have been getting out on the Bike like I've always been used to.
If you think that's a silly notion.......... Piss Off.
You have no idea just how therapeutic it is to be able to just get out on 2 wheels. It's got to be cheaper than Prozac and way more effective.
Hell, I only rode about 25 miles. But the Sun was out and the temperature, while not real warm, was nice. High 50's or low 60's.
Shit. That's the real deal there. I wussed out and didn't stay out longer because I's left the rain gear in the garage and it was looking like it was gonna start raining any minute.
Dumb ass move on my part. It hasn't rained yet.
Still, I came home from just that short little ride and was physically tired. Not from any kind of exertion, but from the elation of being on the bike again.
To much happiness wears a body out. Who woulda' thought?
It took me all of about............. a 1/2 mile to feel totally comfortable again. I really can't tell you just how good it was.
And if you don't ride? You're never gonna know.
The weatherman says it's supposed to rain all week. - Screw it.
If I can get in and out of the place safely? I'm packing the rain gear and riding.
No Punishment To Great......
For a Sonofabitch like this - Cops: Neglected Boy, 4, Wasted Away to 10 Pounds. Some people don't deserve to steal oxygen from the rest of us.
G-d, I hate people anymore.
Science to the Rescue.......
The Japanese may be a bunch of goofy bastards who like their Porn girls dressed up in school girl costumes, but ya gotta love it when they put their minds to a real problem.
Man-made molecules reverse liver cirrhosis in rats.
Oh yeah. Pour me a pint of Boddingtons.

It recently occurred to me on a long run (80 minutes in, right when the runner’s high kicks in per usual) that although I train solo most of the time, I have taken a lot of tips from the runners around me. And when I mean “the runners around me”, I mean the deer, bobcat, coyotes, fox, etc., who live in the Open Space Preserves and parks I am fortunate to call my home trails. The wildlife run and bound across the forest floor with a grace only known to wild, four-legged creatures that live every day in the wild. I have learned a great deal about trail running by watching each animal closely. Perhaps it is time for me to admit that Mother Nature is my coach.
The Bobcat – “Run Quietly”
Bobcats are the masters of “running quietly”. Every part of their body is moving deliberately, no energy wasted, no sound. Running quiet is an essential skill to a bobcat, quite simply because they kill their breakfast every morning. But it also has a lesson for trail runners too - running quietly means running efficiently.
When you try to minimize the impact (and thus the sound) that you make with each foot strike, you will find that you naturally shift your body position forward and recruit more leg muscles. Each foot strike reaches out to softly touch the ground mid-foot, thereby engaging more foot and calf muscles for strength and stabilization. I also find my core gets more engaged to keep my center of gravity moving forward at a constant rate. I’m not sure if it’s any faster, but it sure feels effortless. Plus it’s an added weapon in your arsenal should you need the element of surprise when passing somebody.
The polar opposite of “running quietly” is running with an iPod. If you’ve ever had an iPod-wearing trail runner cruise by you, then you know this (I am also guilty as charged). If you have an iPod, you’re going to need to turn it off for a while to get the feel for it. I mean, you’ve never seen a bobcat go running by with earphones on his big fuzzy ears, right?
The Deer – “Be Confident and Leap”
Deer are fascinating to watch when they bound down the hillside, especially when you give them a good scare (see previous note on iPods). When watched closely, you can see that deer “leap”, propelling their full weight forward in one motion, with only a rough idea of where they plan to land. I think trail runners can gain two insights into this. First, take a leap of faith that your skills are better than you think and stride with confidence. Second, use this confidence to throw yourself down the hill a little farther than comfortable.
If you’ve done your training, you likely can run downhill much faster than you think you can. Try leaning forward just until you can feel gravity pulling you down the hill. and allow yourself to leap a little farther down the hill with each stride. This takes practice, but can take some serious time off your descents. Plus it’s a lot of fun when you get in the groove. This is also a great match to “running quietly”.
The Fox – “Have Fun”
We have this crazy fox that moves into the neighboring forest every winter. I call him Loki (the Norse god of mischief), because he loves distracting me from my workout with a game of chase. Loki is all about having fun. He jumps out in front of me about 40 feet ahead on the trail, gets low and playfully jumps side to side, and then takes off at blinding speed while looking back at me. I pursue in full sprint, futilely trying to keep his huge tail in sight. He loses me every time, but will usually pop up on the trail 10-20 minutes later, taunting me with more yips and jumps.
Loki definitely has the right mindset for trail running. If you can’t have fun, why do it at all? And if you’re grumpy, try throwing in some sprints or a game of chase to get you back in the mood. There is nothing quite like a smile rooted in pure adrenaline.
Thank you for your wisdom, bobcat, deer, and fox. You show us that Mother Nature has plenty of coaching to share if we just open our minds to it. I will run quietly, leap downhill, and do it all with a smile on my face as instructed!
See you on the trails.

- Honda Air Blade
- Honda New Mega Pro
- Honda Sonic 125 cc
- Honda 135 cc
- Honda Revo 110 cc
Mari kita telaah satu per satu tentang produk baru tersebut.
1. Honda Air Blade.
2. Honda New Mega Pro

- Interceptor engine serves as a stressed member of the pivotless frame, which features specially designed engine mounting bolts tuned to work in harmony with the damping characteristics of the frame.
- Aluminum-composite cylinder sleeves are high-pressure-formed from sintered-aluminum powder impregnated with ceramic and graphite. The composite sleeves provide better wear resistance and superior heat dissipation than conventional sleeves.
- Cast-aluminum pistons feature LUB-Coat solid lubricant to minimize friction between piston and cylinder wall.
- Auto-enriching system is integrated into PGM-FI module, which optimizes the air/fuel mixture on cold starts and eliminates the need for a manual choke.
- Solenoid-operated dual air-intake duct design keeps one duct closed during low-speed operation to ensure optimal control of air-intake velocity.
- Dual side-mounted radiators maximize cooling efficiency using low-air-pressure areas created by side cowls to draw cooling air through the radiators. During low-speed operation, a thermostat-controlled left-side fan pulls cooling air across the radiator into the fairing to keep hot air away from the rider.
- Rugged 125mm-diameter eight-plate clutch offers light weight and high load capacity.
- Clutch features an offset outside friction plate for quiet operation when starting from a stop.
- Exceptionally smooth-shifting six-speed transmission.
- Three-phase coil-spring damper in the transmission provides for seamless upshifts.

It's January and that means that its time for the annual three day extravaganza of world premieres that is the Detroit Auto Show. Dozens of production and concept vehicles will be vying for the attention of the gathered throngs of journalists that make the trek to the Motor City from all corners of the globe. This year's Detroit show press days run from Sunday, Jan. 13, through Tuesday, Jan. 15.
As in years past, the Detroit Three will be hogging much of the limelight, with center stage likely going to Ford and Dodge, as both will be rolling out all-new versions of their iconic F-150 and Ram trucks. In addition, Chrysler will be showing off a troika of eco-friendly concepts, GM will roll officially roll out its monster Corvette ZR1 and the V version of the CTS, along with a smattering of green machines including Saturn Vue Green Line Two Mode. Ford will also showcase the possible future of the Explorer with the Explorer America Concept.
Notable debuts from Asia include the production version of the Hyundai Genesis sedan, Nissan's FORUM concept, a crossover sedan from Toyota called Venza, a prototype of the next-generation Honda Pilot and Mazda's Furai race car. The Germans are also bringing plenty of sheetmetal from Europe, including the first ever U.S.-bound BMW diesels, the Baby Benz GLK ute, performance-themed Audis and a special Volkswagen Passat.
The Chinese are coming to Detroit again too, and this time in greater numbers. Five Chinese automakers in all will be present in Detroit. Making repeat appearances are Geely (2006) and Changfeng (2007). The three newcomers are BYD Auto, Chamco, and Li Shi Guang Ming. BYD is best known for its Brilliance sedan, which infamously failed Euro NCAP tests, Chamco is the American operation for a company called Zhongxing, headed by Steve Saleen, and Li Shi Guang Ming is a small purveyor of small electric cars.
