More at BeyondChron: “San Francisco Film Society Executive Director Graham Leggat officially introduced the programming slate for the 52nd annual San Francisco International Film Festival (SFIFF). From April 23 to May 7, 2009, America's oldest domestic film festival will offer a mix of 151 feature-length and short films from 55 countries.

Opening Night launches the festivities with the West Coast Premiere screening of Peter Bratt’s “La Mission,” a tale of personal redemption and rejection of violence set in San Francisco’s Mission District.”
